Groupe de Death Metal Suédois signé chez Metal Blade Records, ils ont fait un retour très réussi l’année dernière avec la sortie de l’album « All Heads Are Gonna Roll » (premier album depuis 2011), depuis la sortie de celui-ci, nous avions envie de les inviter à Saint-Omer et c’est chose faite ! Pas moins de 9 albums au compteur pour un groupe qui a été créé en 1989, du gros Death Metal suédois, un classique du genre qui saura sans aucun doute vous convaincre !

Swedish Death Metal band signed to Metal Blade Records, they made a very successful comeback last year with the release of the album “All Heads Are Gonna Roll” (first album since 2011), since the release of this one, we wanted to invite them to Saint-Omer and it’s done! No less than 9 albums on the clock for a band that was created in 1989, big Swedish Death Metal, a classic of the genre that will undoubtedly convince you!
On ne pouvait donc pas faire sans un groupe représentant la scène Slam Brutal Death, et pour cela, nous comptons cette année sur Wasteland ! Groupe originaire de Paris, ils ont sorti un EP en 2017 et un Split avec Human Worms en 2020, le Brutal Swamp Fest sera une reprise pour eux et nous avons hâte de voir ce qu’ils vont nous proposer. On peut citer des groupes comme Katalepsy ou Devourment parmi leurs influences mais aussi des grands classiques comme Cannibal Corpse, bref, encore un groupe pour les amateurs de poésie !
So we couldn’t do without a band representing the Slam Brutal Death scene, and for that, we’re counting on Wasteland this year! From Paris, they released an EP in 2017 and a Split with Human Worms in 2020, Brutal Swamp Fest will mark their return on stage and we can’t wait to see what they will deliver. We can mention bands like Katalepsy or Devourment among their influences but also great classics like Cannibal Corpse, in short, another group for poetry lovers!
Il est enfin temps de reprendre les annonces ! Le 6e groupe de notre édition 2024 n’est autre que les excellents belges de Storm Upon the Masses ! Du Brutal Death Metal pur et dur car il n’y en avait pas encore cette année, influencé par les grands du genre, on pensera notamment à Krisiun, Origin, Vader ou Hate Eternal… Ils ont sorti leur premier album en 2018 chez le label français Dolorem Records et sont pourtant assez rarement chez nous, ce sera donc l’occasion de les découvrir sur scène, ça en vaut la peine !
It’s finally time to start announcing bands again! The 6th one of our 2024 edition is none other than the excellent Belgian formation Storm Upon the Masses! Pure Brutal Death Metal because there was none yet this year, influenced by the greatest bands of the genre, we can think in particular of Krisiun, Origin, Vader or Hate Eternal… They released their first album in 2018 on the French label Dolorem Records and yet are quite rarely in France, so this will be the opportunity to discover them on stage and it’s definitely worth it!
Le prochain groupe nous vient des Pays-Bas, troisième représentant du Grindcore, certes, cette fois c’est dans une ambiance plus chaotique et proche du Powerviolence que Teethgrinder vous feront vibrer. Attendez-vous à un show plein de rage, de haine et d’intensité. Les noms de leurs trois albums “Misanthrophy”, “Nihilism” et “Dystopia” en disent long…
The next group comes to us from the Netherlands, third representative of Grindcore, yet, this time it’s in a more chaotic atmosphere and closer to Powerviolence that Teethgrinder will make you vibrate. Expect a show full of rage, hatred and intensity. The names of their three albums “Misanthrophy”, “Nihilism” and “Dystopia” say it all…
Vous avez été nombreux à nous réclamer du Black Metal… En voici, et pas des moindres ! Nous accueillerons Serpents Oath de Belgique au Brutal Swamp Fest 2 ! Pour être cohérents avec notre festival, nous avons choisi un groupe de Black Metal brutal, old school, typé suédois… Corpse paint, blast beats et furie des plus maléfiques, les fans de Marduk et Dark Funeral devraient y trouver leur compte… Auteur de 3 albums dont le dernier “Revelation” date de… il y a 10 jours ! Allez-y, ça vaut le détour.
Many of you have asked us for Black Metal… Here is some, and not the least! We will welcome Serpents Oath from Belgium to Brutal Swamp Fest 2! To be consistent with our festival, we chose a brutal, old school, Swedish sounding Black Metal band… Corpse paint, blast beats and the most evil fury, fans of Marduk and Dark Funeral should find what they’re looking for… Author of 3 albums, the last of which “Revelation” dates from… 10 days ago! Check it out, it’s definitely worth it.
Beaucoup d’entre vous ont vu l’info passer et se sont sans doute posé la question, Unsu ont malheureusement été contraints d’annuler leur participation au fest après avoir appris que leur chanteur souffrait de problèmes cardiaques. Nous souhaitons un prompt rétablissement à Mic Kick
et comptons reprogrammer Unsu lors d’une prochaine édition !
Nous avons bien sûr réfléchi à un nouveau groupe pour compléter l’affiche et nous vous annonçons la participation de Misgivings ! Groupe français de Death Old School et bestial rappelant les premiers Morbid Angel combinés à la rage d’Angelcorpse, ils sont sortis des abysses il y a deux ans pour sortir leur premier album simplement intitulé “Misgivings” chez Dolorem Records !
Un deuxième groupe pour notre prochaine édition, les belges de Brutal Sphincter ! Ayant beaucoup fait parler d’eux ces dernières années après la sortie de leur album “Analhu Akbar” en 2018 et après avoir participé aux plus gros festivals européens, il ne leur manquait plus que le Brutal Swamp Fest ! Ils sauront sans aucun doute vous convaincre et vous faire bouger avec leur Goregrind Ultra Groovy !
A second name for our second edition, Belgian band Brutal Sphincter! They’ve been quite popular these last years after the release of their album : Analhu Akbar in 2018 and after having participated to the biggest European festival, all they were still missing is Brutal Swamp fest! They will for sure manage to convince you and trigger a great party with their Ultra Groovy Goregrind!
Première annonce pour notre deuxième édition du Brutal Swamp Fest (ex Dreamer Fest) avec notre groupe d’ouverture : Fire Wheel ! Originaires de la Côte d’Opale le jeune quatuor nous offre un Death Metal Melodique et Groovy inspiré par des groupes comme Gojira, Lamb of God ou Dissection. Formé en 2015, ils ont sorti leur premier album “Ignited” en 2019, mixé et masterisé par @Talk big studio. Franck a rejoint Olivier, Cédric et François tout récemment en tant que bassiste, ce sera donc l’occasion de découvrir le nouveau lineup du groupe !
First announcemment for our second edition of Brutal Swamp Fest (ex Dreamer Fest) with our opening band : Fire Wheel! Coming from the North of France, the young quarter delivers Melodic and Groovy Death Metal inspired by bands such as Gojira, Lamb of God or Dissection. Active since 2015, they have release their first full-length “Ignited” in 2019, mixed and mastered at @Talk Big Studio. Franck joined Olivier, Cedric and François quite recently as their new bassist so it will be a good opportunity to discover the new lineup of the band!
